When Black stories go Global

I worked on a data research team at Duke University analyzing the translation of Black stories for global audiences. Our project considers how racial language in rendered in other languages and how translation impacts the international understanding of Black bodies and narratives.

Using InDesign, I created an interactive booklet to summarize our project goals, methodologies, conclusions, and analysis.

My Japan Journey

I designed and updated a personalized website for the Japan Society of Boston. The website was constructed in conjunction with the organization's podcast series My Japan Journey, which I edit and help produce. I created the website as a platform to listen to the podcast. The design is streamline and user-friendly, allowing for easy engagement with the podcast itself and contextual information about interviewees.

ECO GUIDE

I designed an interactive orientation guide for a sustainable urban farm in Maryland called ECO City Farms. Using InDesign, I constructed an engaging layout with embedded audio interviews  to spread the word about the important work ECO is doing to protect our planet and bring local communities together.

PVILLE Garden Guide

Working with the Pleasantville Community Garden, I adapted their guide "Creating an Organization to Donate Fresh Produce to People in Need" into a website format. Using archived pictures of the garden, its members, and its events, I created an accessible platform for viewing their resources and engaging with the local community.
